Being an independent artist today is possible, especially thanks to the network and the careful use of social media. These tools become indispensable to those like me, who are not promoted by critics and galleries, offering the opportunity to obtain great visibility, and arriving directly on the collector's screen. It is obvious that what you do must please intellectually and visually. However, I believe that if you have something to say in the art world and your work "arrives", social media represent the most democratic and immediate tool to make us known as artists. A last but not least aspect to underline on the use of social media as a tool for artistic diffusion is that the dialogue between artist and collector client returns to the forefront, bringing the human relationship, even if virtual, back to the center of the comparison between public and art in the development of the creative process.
A few words on the importance that social media have today in the diffusion of art.
